I got to go wedding gown shopping with one of my best friends and bridesmaid and my Mom. I picked out this dress at my first visit and never went anywhere else. Little did I know, but when we were gown shopping, my Mom was fighting stage 4 ovarian cancer. She ended up passing away in January and wasn’t able to be at the wedding but we got to share this gown experience together.
My gown didn’t need much alteration, as it fit really well! I had some cups added due to the lace/ open back, and added a bustle. I also had the dress pressed. I was worried about adding a bulky bustle, but the seamstress was able to offer a ’tucked under’ bustle option, which helped keep the nice lines of the dress simple and elegant. It was really easy to bustle up and made for a great night of dancing!
GLWGS made my gown alteration process simple. The appointments were always punctual and efficient, and I didn’t have any worries or concerns that they were going to be able to miss any deadlines or make errors- they are a well-oiled machine!
